Mr. Bresett joined US Safety & Security,
LLC in August 2001 as Director of Intelligence Services.
He is responsible for Domestic and International Security
Consulting in areas that include Counter Terrorism Training,
International Due Diligence and Business Intelligence.
Mr. Bresett is a twenty-five year veteran of the U.S. Secret
Service, completing his career as the Chief of the Service’s
Foreign Intelligence and Counterterrorism Branch. He has
fifteen years of specialized experience uncovering and neutralizing
the terrorist threat to U.S. interests. From 1988 through
1992, Mr. Bresett was seconded to the Central Intelligence
Agency where he directed the intelligence inquiry that led
to the identification of those responsible for the bombing
of Pan Am Flight 103. He received the Central Intelligence
Agency’s Intelligence Commendation Medal for the leadership
role that he played in that investigation.
From the date of his retirement in January 1997 until August
1999, Mr. Bresett was a Senior Vice President with Beckett
Brown International, Inc., a business intelligence firm located
in the Washington area. During that period, he was responsible
for the expansion of the firm’s services to support
investigative, intelligence and security requirements of
clients that operate overseas.
In April 1998, he co-authored a research paper, entitled “The
Terrorist Threat in America”, that was published by
the Chemical Manufacturers Association. Since that time,
he has been quoted as a terrorism specialist in US News and
World Report, USA Today, Newsweek Magazine, and several other
periodicals. His TV appearances as a commentator on both
domestic and international terrorism have included the NBC
Evening News with Tom Brokaw, CNN, and The News Hour with
Jim Lehrer on PBS.
Mr. Bresett holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Criminal
Justice Administration and is a combat veteran who served
in the Republic of Vietnam. |
